  • All Valve Stem Caps not created equal...

So, after KalTire was nice enough to lose one of my VW Logo Valve Stem Caps and leave me with three... I was forced to go back to VW to get me a new set of four. At first, I figured this would be good... as now I would have 7 valve stem caps (ie. 3 extra) but then, after reviewing the latest from DriverGear... I decided to "upgrade?" to the "Fast Logo" Valve Stem caps.

Well, after waiting about a week for them to come in and getting all excited about a matching set of valve stem caps... I was instantly disappointed at the new ones. Why? They are so small (ie. depthwise)... that they don't even cover all the threads on the valve stem!! At first I thought I was smoking crack, but after further investigation at SouthCentre (ie. comparing all the new caps (Fast Logo, VW Logo, GTi, etc.)) they are all smaller than the old caps I had (circa 2003).

Anyhew... enough of my rant. I guess it just goes to show that Companies will do virtually anything... to save a buck. Grrr...

    Deuce.

    That sucks dude
Its kind of like after my car was vandalized last year they stole the valvecaps off my rims. I went to they place where I bought my rims to order new caps and they gave a me a a pair that matched (black tops) and another pair that matched (red tops)
Something so simple has to be turned into something difficult
