  • VDO boost gauge?

I'm not sure if its just the weirdness of auto/tiptronic but I still get lots of needle fluttering when I start my car up and when I put the car in reverse. How's everyone else's?

Mike, I'm telling you, it's your auto tranny being a pig and sucking power from your motor. This isn't a problem on any of the 5-speed or 6-speed 1.8T` so... my educated guess would lead me to assume your auto tranny is slightly reducing idle power in turn giving you the slight needle vibration that you are experiencing.

    Yoda can't be wrong!

Yeah this happens to me if I have my AC on full blast. But if I turn off the AC and fan, it stops. I would guess that it has something to do with power consumption then...

I notice it too with my AC. Give it 100 rpms more, it goes away. I was debating increasing my idle speed by 100 - anyone done this?
