    If you do it, god will kill a kitten.

    91 octane in a 93 program should cause the ECU to retard timing and you will get slower.

    Maybe not right out of the gas station, but when the engine heats up, it will

    The aggressive programs already sold by these companies often have timing too far advanced anyway IMO, and if you VAG-COM log you will see timing issues.

    Anyway, I think vortex is full of crap on a lot of things, if you have a program for 93 octane you should run 93 and not risk engine knock.

      Can you get 93 octane fuel in calgary?? or just 94

            However, because we're at such high altitude you can probably get away with it. Cars that need 91 at sea level (stock 1.8T) don't seem to retard on 89 (and even 87 for NA) in Calgary.

            But definately log it - if you're over 6 on any cylinder then you need to back off the timing. You should be able to use vtune to tweak it down.

              truthfully i ran a tank of 91 on my 93 program in my s4 and forgot to switch.. i ate up the tank in like 325km
