Autobahn Encounter

Well, today I was cruising in the passat, sun was setting, so I went to pass a car on the autobahn, and noticed another dub on my tail, it was a golf, i had it floored, going 4th strong, then into 5th, and yessss, 6th, fun, approaching the 200 mark, when i had to turn off, needless to say, it was awesome, felt like i back home in calgary.

so the golf was a TDi, and i was in the Tdi, he couldnt pass me, but kept up nice, the passat weighs more. I'm getting used to it now. I cant even hear the turbo on it, elevation here is 80m and of course eurodiesel. Its much much quieter overall then mine, and i think feels faster. But it has a different transmission, so maybe that has something to do with it. Either way, i'm trying to convince my grandparents to get a chip for it.

Oh yeah, it has mad surge going on below 2000 rpm, not sure why, probably something due to PD. Other things i noticed when driving with the MFA computer for you people with TDI's:

idle: 0.9L /h consumption
floored, 4th, 4000rpm: 22.6 L /h
ETA of mileage: 950km full tank
average burn: 6L / 100km
driving with foot off of gas in gear: 0.0L /h
idling with AC on: 1.3L /h
---
6th @ 2000rpm ~ 105km/h

There will be PDI 130 available here in Passats for 2004 and PDI 100 in Golfs and Jettas.

dont see very many 30v v6, either the 130's or the 150hp 1.8t's.

the new seat leon cupra came out, basically a 337 with a k04, nav, recaros front and back, etc, for about $38k.
