Well I think this really depends what you want the second car for and your budget, a B200 is not a horrible choice but there are lots of other options as they are not super cheap.Blair

Re: would a MB B200 be your second car??
Me and my GF is currently driving the Mk5 jetta as a daily commuter... but the manual tranny and the 20" wheels are driving her mad as she needs to drive around calgary all day long.. therefore we are looking for a second car for her as a daily commuter.
we have narrowed it down to these 3-4
BMW X3
MB B200
VW Rabbit
Audi A3
For a lease, the X3 is on the pricey side, while the A3 does not worth the pricetag that it is charging, plus it has no Quarttro.
so it is down to 2. the B200 and the Rabbit. here are the pros and Cons after i testdrove both.
B200
Pros - nicer interior finish, Roomy cargo/interior space, higher sitting, lower insurance premium, lower lease rate, CVT tranny/tiptronic, Panorama Roof.
Cons - Expensive, styling, low recovery rate after lease, soft seats.
Rabbit
Pros -styles, more HP than the B200, ownership discount, higher recovery value after lease. lower lease payment
Cons - just boring because if i buy a rabbit, the interior will be the exact same as my current jetta.
so i am still undecided. i have heard rumors that BMW is releasing the 1 series at 2008. so i might wait.Last edited by aussiefishy; 05-17-2007, 10:54 AM.
