  • jacking your lowered dub

I had to use the factory jack to raise up the front of the car a little bit before I can fit my floor jack under the car to swap the tires this spring. I was wondering what jack people with lowered cars are using, and if they jack on the factory jack points with a slotted saddle, or what jack point they use. I'm thinking of going with side skirts this summer which will make jacking that much more difficult. I guess I need some sort of low profile jack but dont' want to spend an arm and a leg for one. Any suggestions?

When I was searching for a low-pro jack, most were really expensive...so I just use the same technique as you, factory jack first, then normal jack.

I had a lowered car and i would just drive onto some 2x4s first then jack it up. Gave me the few extra inches i needed.

That's a simple way to do it.

I bought a super awesome jack at Canadian Tire, its by Michelin I think, all aluminum, very flat so fits under even the lowest car, and can lift up almost 3 feet!!! Worth the investment.

i have a 2x8 ramp that goes up two level to allow the jack to get under it. Has detachable lower level to allow access to the side factory jacking point and is a breeze to use.

Yeah but I got it on sale IIRC.

Someone told me Costco had a similar jack for a while for less $, not sure if it was as good as the Michelin though.

Princess Auto had a nice jack for a while but it wasn't very slim. But at least it lifted high enough to comfortably get some jack stands under there. I find most jacks aren't tall enough.

I bought my jack and princess auto and I think it goes pretty low. I think it was around $100 on sale. If you have side skirts on can you still get at the pinch rails? if not there are some OEM mounts that mount in behind in one of the plugged holes that I have heard work really well.

The arm part comes off and splits in half, and since its not very tall (actually slimmer than my old regular size jack) its not so hard to store.
