            Re: MK3 golf 2.slow project

ok decided to park the car untill i get the proper software so i took her in for a nice car wash and parked her in the garage with the other gti for the time being...

in the mean time the tires came in and thanks to Bob and all the other friendly people at CMS, what many people wanted to stay away from they made possible and got my tires mounted...got strech?

im loving the car more and more but the only shitty thing is that im going to have to wait some more for my chip to come from the states and then hopefully ill be able to drive her and perhaps have a few runs at race city (i want to beat my brother's time of 14.7..does anyone thing its possible?)

sorry for all the shitty pictures, i will get some better ones as soon as the car is driving again an i buy a tripod

Did you actually shave the hatch but keep the wiper nubbin?

                    Re: MK3 golf 2.slow project

Looking really good. Personally I think the stretch looks silly, but that's my own opinion, and if you like it, more power to you.

I'm looking forward to seeing it in person at one of the meets.

Nice job, keep the pics coming.

Car looks sick man! Can't wait to see it in person. I too love the stretch!!!
Who shaved your front bumper for you? It looks great. I am a bit confused on the rear hatch though. Why didn't you shave off the wiper hole? Last question. Are you 16x9's all the way around?

                        Re: MK3 golf 2.slow project

                        Thanks for the comments guys…

Kordain: im not sure that you live close to me but I could be wrong because I think im the only one with a dub on my block. (somerset  )

Silverstoned: thanks for your input, that’s the constructive stuff I respect ahha

Mitcheh, Ginch: the car came with the symbols off the hatch already shaved and for the time being the wiper hole has just been now covered with a pop-in type of plastic insert until I get it completely shaved off which is in the plans. The bumper I got shaved by my dads friend at Alberta plating and he said it was very hard for him to do, took him 2-3 days. And finally the rims are 16x9 all around with the front at et25 and rear et15 and the tire size is 205/40-16

so thanks again for the comments, i cant wait for the meets and shows to come! some of you may remember me from the last year ice cream meet, i had a black mk2 glx jetta

Haha good stuff, as long as you didn't purposely shave only the emblem

nah, that would be a waste IMO...but soon it will hopefully be all clean

Maybe someone can explain the idea behind stretch to me as I really don't get it. Are you not making less of a contact surface on the road? Is there a higher chance of popping a bead? It also looks like you can get small rocks stuck in that gap. Just my thoughts as I really don't get it.
The car does look really hot though.
