All right my car has been parked in the garage hibernating all winter and now finally it is only a couple days away from the transformation being close to 100% done.
It all started out as a 97 gti 2.0l and my original plan was to just buy some decent rims and a nice drop. That plan went well for about 1 month and then I got tired of it being typical and too slow compared to my brother’s car. Plan 2 was to add some bolt-on’s and that failed as well. Plan 3 came along and that involved a junk yard (home built) turbo kit and eventually that failed as well. Finally I’ve lost patience and I decided to just go all out looks, plan 4, with the influence of some other mk3’s that I’ve always looked up on. I ordered a set of pretty decent 16x9 wheels back in January. During the long wait, I had another itch and I went and purchased a eip stage 2 turbo kit (which is not running properly right now) and a stage 3 port and polish head job to complete the performance part of it. Then came the “wanting to do something different” part which is a bit hard to do with these cars. For that I got my front bumper shaved and a jetta front end with smoked lights and badge less grille because its just something ive always wanted. In the suspension department I was first going to go with h&r coilovers but I decided on fk silver-line x+ fully adjustable coilovers instead.
My car has been sitting in the garage for about 4 months now and I finally started it yesterday but it runs a bit rich. Today I worked on swapping the suspension in and my rims finally arrived today as well which made me very happy. So happy that I want to share this all with you all so I will stop writing now and here are some pictures:
