  • O2 sensor question

Girl at work blew her o2 sensor in her VR6 - I know the MAF is in the airbox, and theres 2 o2 sensors...but where are they?

Anyone know how you change your front or rear o2 sensor? I'm amazed it's never come up in any of my reading :mrscrewy:

Front and Rear O2 sensors. My rear O2 is always acting up. I was thinking about even unplugging my rear o2 and tucking it away as this may rid me of my damn CEL.

Did this start after you installed the dp?

I remember you posting something like that after you got the dp installed. I guess you haven't figured out why the O2 is acting up? Bad sensor or the dp changed something?

Ah cool thx - is replacing them a normal guy job or does it involve dropping the exhaust or something weird? She's reluctant to give the stealership more money - maybe concept one? Her hubby said there's no way a normal wrench can get at the first one?

K I'll tell her to give them a ring and save the 1+ hr dealer charge.

All you need is one of those big sockets with a slit down the side for the o2 wire to slide into and changing the o2 sensors isn't too bad.
