    Re: Best Ultra-High Performane Tire?

I will be running T1Rs soon, and I think they should be great. I had T1Ss in the past which I thought were very good and great in the wet, but tire wear was not the best on those.

i have run both, the wear and sidewall stiffness have been addressed from the S's. For wet weather driving (Vancouver) you can't get any better. NO hydroplaning ever and ooodles of grip all the time. Once they get to temp its like having bubblegum for tires.
I'm rocking the 712's now and they are quite similar in performance but cost slightly less

Anyone in the market to buy a pair... or the three remaining Michelin Pilot Sport's on my car (225-40ZR-18)? Anyone?

If not, I guess I'll have a rockin' set of spares myself when the new F1's go bad. BTW. I let the missus decide between the Falken's and the Eagle's... can't say I'm going to argue about her choice.

I purchased the Falker 512's 2 years ago. The tread wear was rated at 360 but I think thats a conservative estimate. I would say mid 200s. It was great in the rain. I got stuck in a down pour in the mountains.....everyone was pulling of or sliding on the highway but I was able to keep an even 130 and have no issues with handling. I was going to switch to the Toyo Prox 4s cause I have heard good things about them. I ended up sticking with the falkens cause I got them for $85 canadian delivered to sweetgrass. $30/tire install. That is sure a lot better then the $150/tire they quoted me up here.
