  • A/C Removal

I have taken the AC out of my 94 gti and I am trying to figure out how I am going to run the belts. Does any body know where I can find the brakets from a non ac 2.0l 8v?

You don't need any brackets. You need a different water pump pulley and shorter belts.

Doesn't the water pump get driven by a different belt? I'll have to go confirm in the garage, but I think the altenator and A/C are driven by one belt, and the power steering pump, and the water pump were driven by a different one.

Thats why you get a different water pump pulley.
One belt will drive the Alt and waterpump. The other will drive the power steering pump.

With this arrangment the water pump, alt. are driven by one belt with out a tensioner? How do you tension that belt? Then the water belt is driven by the other belt.

              Thanks

When you did this did the belt sit on top of the water pump pully or go underneath? Do you happen to have the p/n for the belt?

                Thanks
