Cant be of much help, Jason. But I can tell you that it would probably be easier to buy a "factory correct" vr6 car. The only time a vr swap would be worth while is if it were going into a mk1 or mk2 imo.
For a proper swap you would want to use everything possible from the donor car, like brakes, plus suspension, 5 bolt set up etc. Not a small job.

Well the only problem is not all mk3 cars were available in a VR6
my brother in law has a mk3 2.0 swapped to a vr6.. a shop in TO did all the work for him tho.. really nice car i gotta get photos of it.. painted audi grey, coils, etc
easy. less than a full weekend to do. especially if its going into a mk3 chassis. just make sure the engine you get comes complete with EVERYTHING including the wiring and ECU. thats where the hassles start if you dont get the complete swap.

Was thinking about a Cabrio actually. I could only do it though if I was getting rid of the 2.slow right away though. Swapping a VR6 seemed like the most sensible and cheapest way of doing it.
Well it looks like the easiest way would be to take it to a shop in BC as they have donors available. Drive in a 2.0, drive out a VR6, it seems reasonably priced too. Found the info on thedov.
I'm impressed that HPA mentions the car is not suitable for dragracing, or standing launches. The syncro is barely capable of 400hp, and they don't try and deny it. Good to see.
