I think a Vag Com log of Requested vs. actual plus maybe a MAF reading would be really usefull here. The is obviously some type of problem that existed before (shown by your faults pre-chip) and now that you are asking for more boost pressure, any boost leak for example is going to be worse and cause limp modes.

Aleks... I don't remember specifics about your car. I thought you had the 94 oct program and was happy with the performance. Are you getting less boost now? On the same file? What changed? Do you want to go back to the 91 octane. Send me an email and let me know

OK, noob question here....without installing a boost guage, how do I know what kind of boost numbers I'm getting?

Vagcom logs, but you should have a boost gauge if chipping.

well i picked up my car and theres no boost leak, everythings works properly, he said it drives like a stock 1.8t and to just get the ecu reflashed again..

The thing is, the way the car was chipped there is no chance the file is not there. I erase the flash and then program the upgraded file. I got the file checked and it is OK. I record the checksum of the file that I use so I double checked that it is the checksum of the upgraded file which it is so all I can do for you is check the file once more when you come around and if it is the upgraded version I will return you to stock and give you your money back.

well i met up with Simon and after doing some logs with the vag com he found my car wasnt flowing enough air, so we unplugged the maf and it pretty much boosted to 15 psi like nothing after that. car feels way faster but now i have a cel haha.
