Here is a suggestion, not sure if it will work:

Go to a carpet store. They have two-sided "carpeters" tape. It is very, very sticky. They use it to hold down flooring products, which are constantly being subjected to pulling and pushing when people walk over them.

Anyhow I have some of this tape and its pretty sticky...

the first tape i had was that stuff but i'll try to find some other goodies... Home Depot only has genneral crap
