Wow... Kris and I are on a roll.

- Purchased the AutoTech 3-inch CAI system -- Kris and I installed... 5 or 6 hours later we have mastered bumper removal and battery repositioning!

- Installed my 710N stock diverter valve (huge thanks to Dale (Holkswagon) for giving me this DV) -- kept the "H" version N75 valve for more testing.

- Buying the TT short shifter (finally) tomorrow.

- Having my front valances painted the upcoming week.

Oh and I hold 20psi of pure boost for about 3 - 4 seconds... where as with my BOV... there wasn't even a possibility of such a thing.

Damn... busy mod time I tells` yah! lol

awesome peter.... i thought you were gonna toss the votex kit on your car before? on monday we should do your SS and my bumper/grill/valence install..

damn man my EVO fit in nicely.. the only part I didn't like was removing the stock airbox routing.. its friggin riveted on!!:angry:
So you have to pull like a mofo to get it off.. volinder told me he had the same problem when he did his carbonio.. stupid rivets had to get ripped and then the plastic busted all to hell

oh yea yesterday I was on Mc. trail right in front of chinook mall i was going southbound and in the farthest left lane next to the concrete barrier.. damn man.. that thing echo'd the sound of my CAI so hard.. it sounded so nice.. i want to floor it next to that wall to really here it..

do up a "how-to" on installing it peter, add it to the NVD how-to section.

i'm just waitin for my CAI to arrive, probably next week. did you have to take anything else out except the airbox, battery and snorkel? do you have to take the fender or wheel off ?

i'll write one up.. its a pita to install them but its rad in the end

ps for simon.. for mine i took the front driverside wheel off and jacked the car up for an easier install but you dont' have to you can simply turn the wheel the whole way and undo all the fender screws and pull away the plastic and reach in to attach the filter.. either way will work.. you can even take your front bumper off if you really choose to..

btw OEM snorkel piece that goes up to headlight is riveted on and you will tug so hard you will swear then wonder why the rivets broke and the plastic broke now knowing your stock box setup is kinda fubard...:mrlaugh:

We took the bumper off to get the filter on

Its actually not very hard to get the bumper off, maybe less work than jacking up the car, taking off the wheel, and taking out the fender liner.

thanks for the help lscg2, yah i know how to take the bumper off, i'm a pro at it now after doing 2 angel-eye installs.

ill probably take everything off just for the hell of it so its easy as possible. i'm not looking forward to ripping out the snorkel though... but at least my engine is achieving maximum bling status
