  • Punch Buggies

    Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has some personal expierience with Punch Buggies in Edmonton. Are they a good shop to deal with for buying used parts? Is there any one particular that I should talk to? And has anyone been in their yard? I have seen their ads on the autotrader site and just wondered about their reputation?

    thanks
    dave

I deal with him often, but his costumer service is terrible, no maners what so ever, he is got good parts inventory but be prepared for shitty costumer service.

He must have been trained by the best (Montgomery).

I don't know anything about him but it's annoying having to search through 3 pages of busted mk3's when doing a search on the trader.

              Re: Punch Buggies

Every time I think I can't get screwed on what I bought, he finds a way.... It's funny, the last time wasn't even VW related. My bro in-law said he had something there for my ski-doo, I told him I don't deal with that guy cause he overcharges for everything, and will fu&k you everytime. He said how can he screw this up? if it's the wrong part, don't take it. so I went and ordered it. He said it would be there by 4pm that day. I called at 5pm and he said he didn't get around to it, so come in the morning the next day. I called at 10am the next day, and he said he was just leaving to go get the part, and to come by noon. I showed up at 2:30pm and he didn't have time to go get the part yet. So I drive to his supplier and grab the part myself. I get the part, and tell the girl it's not the right part, she says well you have to take the part, and cancel it through him because he ordered it. So I took it home that night and had to run all the way back to sherwood park to get my money back. (atleast I was able to do that). Typical punch buggies experience. His think is 1/2 of new for whatever you want. He'll ask you how much it is new, then say give him 1/2.

              Cost of buying a 2007 GTI - $35,000
Cost of buying a 2007 GTI in parts - $327,000
Cost of buying 1/2 of a 2007 GTI in parts (punch buggies special) - $163,500

              What a bargain.
