So, got the ecodes in, HID conversion all set. Any recommendations for the best and brightest H1 high beams? I do mostly highway driving, so they'll get lots of use. I was looking at getting Hella Optilux XB H1's, wanted to see if there was anything else that was recommended...

Re: MKIV High Beams
You are talking about ecodes with a projector housing right? Because if you are putting HID's into a normal housing prepaired to get blasted not only on these board but also by the police. As for high beams any of the higher end bulbs should suit you fine.Name: Brent

Order from the UK - http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ . Kick ass free shipping, get either the philips or the osrams. Mine showed up in a matter of days. Canada has **** selection for H1/h3s.

Re: MKIV High Beams
What do you mean re-wire the lows? I got an HID's for the lows... I also need to pick up a Euro switch and wiring harness for the fogs now... completely forgot about that part. Any suggestions as to where I can get all this installed? Starting to think I'm not up to it...

Re: MKIV High Beams
It's not that bad of a project, take it on yourself, there is lots on info available. and if you have any issues, post it up!
HID lights a not the best light to be turning on and off when your on the highway, I'm not too sure what car you have, but a Jetta switches from high to low beam and a Golf leaves the lows on with the high beam. The rewireing only applies to the Jetta.
you can get the switch/harness at Concept-1, but if you can wait, PG Performance has alwas been good to me.
What headlights did you get?

Re: MKIV High Beams
Anyone have recommendations for the best (cheapest) place to get a Euroswitch and fog wiring harness? Also looking for clear front corner (bumper) markers... And where is the best place to mount the ballast for the HIDs?

Doesnt the back of the light housing have a spot for the Ballasts to be mounted to?
Are you sure that the High Beams are not H7's?
