Well got my new privat wheels put on Thursday, look sweet, but... if I go anywhere over 130 kms, car shakes like she's having a seizure, and from about 30-60 kms i can feel a wobble in the steering wheel... thinkin' balance issue. Gonna have to contact the boys at concept and get this figured out.

Davey, if you get this brefore I see you at work can we check the balance with our machine at work? Or would the one at concept be better? gotta be a tire issue as it's the only thing that's changed recently.

    Re: wobble

Might have knocked your alignment out somehow when putting the wheels on.

But yeah probably wheels/tires not balanced.

    Hubcentric spacers required?

      Re: wobble

An alignment issue should not cause the type of vibration he is experiencing. More than likely its a balance issue. I'd also check to make sure all your lugs are nice and tight. If one is a little loose it could also cause a vibration.

Dude, make sure the wheel bolts are on tight... I just got back from the VW course tonight I'll talk to you Thursday. If your car only started to do this when you put the wheels on then there might be a problem with the tires. Usually a low speed wobble means tire separation, a wheel is bent or the wheel bolts are loose.

Ooooor it means he was missing hubcentric rings.

Just giving you a hard time but I think he already solved the problem (did he make a new post? I could have sworn somewhere in here it said C1 didn't give him the hubcentric rings).

              Edit: found it......
