  • Any advise?

Chervron Octane 92 better or Prtro Canda better Octane 92 for VR6 2002. 5?
Does anyone buy something to increase the octane b4? my friend did on autocross, he said more power and faster?

    Thanks for your advise!

I would go Chevron -- even though we don't have it here in Calgary... on the other hand... my UPsolute version 12 program loves Petro 91 fuel... so... it's a toss-up. Give both them a try and see what you think!

I'm currently running Centrex 91 Premium and I love it!

Chervron makes awesome gas, buy that if you got it. In Alberta, as Peter said, we have crap gas. Petro Can doesn't have 92 here... do they have it there?

If you are running a gas engine like the VR6 or 1.8T then I would say that any bottled "additives" like you can buy at crappy tire etc which claim to improve performance while being run are a waste of green.

Edit: Adding real higher octane gas, IE "race gas" will possibly make somewhat of a difference, but since your car is probably tuned for 91 octane it won't make as big a difference as you might think.

All my opinions and knowledge are just hearsay from my dad, who would be happy to talk about blending gas for many hours. Peter and Simon met him for 2 minutes and he couldn't resist mentioning gasoline contents...

I own golf, I shot a 40 front nine today, well uh don't ask about the back nine, a few balls in the drink go a long way to bringing up the score

I count drops and take NO mulligans, tourney style, I usually don't shoot 40's though :( Its usually up at 43-44 on nine, actually I took a free drop today cause the mower ran over my ball and put it nicely underground though.
