Really? I've found most searches I've done on the vortex seem to like AEM. MSRP on the CAI is $258USD (roughly $360 CAN) - I don't think that's all that cheap.

However, I did find this thread there:

ALot of times I hear that that the AEM is sorta lower quality, people say they work fine and all but they'd prefer like the EVO in hindsight, I never bothered to ask why, but I just come across threads from time to time

I think a guy on the web is going to hook me up with a club18t intake. So I will be different.

thats odd.. is it really 258$ USD?

there are non-stop GB's and sales on the AEM CAI for some reason, ranging from $160-180 USD. All the time, even one goin on right now.

Yes Concept-1 matches prices in the city. Yes Tunerworks is overpriced. Yes they get 99.45634% of orders pertaining to Volkswagens wrong.

            Oh well...

Bought my CAI today... Kris and I are installing it in an hour or so.

Hopefully I'm part of the other 0.54366 percentile.:mrtongue: I will however, try what Kor said about calling C1 and asking to match prices next time.

Yeah Simon, I've seen a lot of the group buys you were mentioning. That could be why Tunawax quoted me $309 and are still making profit. I was quoting the MSRP right from the AEM website.

I just wanna be a little different like Kor...that's all

yah, even if you did get on one of the GB's on the vortex and get it for $240 canadian, you'd get charged $75 on duties coming across the border so its not worth it.

props for going your own route, I was going to go with AEM, but I went with ATP
