  • Painting Calipers?

For the celebration of putting on my pwzo front I was thinking I might do my calipers too in some sort of color. What color should I go with? red, silver, black??

ps.. I will also celebrate with the adding of chocolate to milk.

On silver car, you want red. Black you won't be able to notice.

The caliper paint comes with a can of aerosol cleaner. You should use a soft brass brush to scrub any dirt and brake dust in conjunction with the cleaner. I also used a metal brush attachment for my cordless drill. It cleaned the calipers in no time.

FYI - if you go to a hobby shop like PMS Hobbycraft or Model Land, they carry an aerosol cleaner for RC car motors. It is the same stuff that the caliper paint comes with. So if your brakes are really dirty, you might want to consider picking up an extra can.

If i were you, paint them something like blue on a silver car. Everyone has red calipers...try something different. My dads cars license plate is L337S55 hehe

paint it silver on a silver car. it fits so much better. i have it on mine and love it.

i had silver calipers on my old golf and it was such an eyesore on stock calipers. its the only thing that sticks out on an otherwise silver/smoked car.

and peter, telling someone to take their car to C1 to get them to paint their calipers is not wise, IMO. its a 10 minute mod. you paint the caliper, you dont paint everything else.

i changed the fronts/backs pad's after i painted my calipers and dealership didnt say anything other than "calipers look nice"

edit. here's a pic of mine.
