well after a hard time getting a loan i finally got one in order to buy a GTi but now i have to get to the hard part... fixing my GL.. about 4 months ago i posted a problem with my golf... clutch pedal had no pressure and sticks to the floor board... many of the VW techs on here told me to diagnose the Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder.. so yesterday i got around to it... took apart both and bench bled them.. both seemed to be working properly.. so i re-installed it and bleed the system hoping a nice clean and a proper bleeding procedure would help.. no deal... the clutch has a little bit more pressure but still no engadgment and still sticks to the floor... also there are no leaks coming from the slave cylinder nor the master... i then took the rubber cap off the tranny located right above the slave cylinder to see if the rod from the slave cylinder was moving when the pedal was depressed and it was... about an inch of movment.. im not sure if this is within spec or not??? can any one help me further diagnose my problem?
i also started the car in first gear to see if there was any movement and there was the car jumped and ran in first gear, which to me means the clutch disc is still intact, could this be my pressure plate?? any input is greatly appriciated. thanks guys
