  • Edmonton TDIers

I am new to this forum. I have been a member of TDIclub for a while now.
I am looking for a few TDIers in Edmonton to give me some feedback on a power product I am developing for 1996-2003 TDIs.
It is a microprocessor controlled power box that adjusts power proportional to throttle input. It is basically plug and play and has a cockpit adjustable power levels. The power is seamless and impressive.
What I am looking for is a few people to take my car for a spin and give me some feedback on the product and packaging. If interested, once I get my PCBs done also some beta testing on your own car.
Please email me at alex.campbell@edmonton.ca or PM me.

    Thanks,

    Alex Campbell

    Re: Edmonton TDIers

So in other wards it is a adjustable diesel power box? Are you sure the ECU will be able to compensate fast enough for boost when adding extra injector pulses? Honestly I don't like any of the add in tunning boxes, in my opinion they don't take enough direct control of fuel and boost mapping which I think can lead to more problems then it is worth. Although since I work in electronics I am interested to hear about your design.

        Re: Edmonton TDIers

First, I am not the guy who is making shifter knobs. I am not a "Bling" guy and dont ever plan to be. I am still rolling on steelies.
Yes, this is an adjustable diesel power box. I understand that there is a great divide between the chip guys and the power box guys and I am not here to discuss the pros and cons of either.
If you want to discuss the design of this box, please e-mail me. The product is still in design and software development stages. That is why I am looking for some people to give me feedback on the development of my product. I want a few TDI enthusiasts to drive MY car and provide some feedback on my design.
Before a product launch, I still need to gather a lot of data on my own car including some serious datalogging and dyno time.
What this isn`t is a "resistor in a box" piece of junk that I am going to try and sell on flea-bay for $650 dollars with promises of X Hp and Y torque.
I am also working on another product that allows some degree of control over boost. The issue there is incorporating an intuitive user interface for the shifting of the curve.
The bottom line is that I feel that there is a healthy tuning box market that I wish to introduce a quality product into. I also feel that the current players in that market are charging far too much for their products.
If you wish to try driving my car or discussing my product, please contact me.
If you wish to flame me and suggest that my design sucks or the ONLY path to power is a remap etc. feel free also.
