  • Coolant Leak

So I pull onto the driveway and notice smoke coming out from the hood. Check things out and notice that my coolant is no longer where its supposed to be, instead its all over place. Pulled the Auxiliary Water Pump out and checked all of the connected housing. The pump was a disaster full of rust. Tried to spin the pump and couldnt so I took it apart. Would it be possible that the pump seized because it was so filthy? I cleaned it out and was able to spin it afterwards, so I put everything back together. Put coolant back in, didnt notice any leaks so I drove it around the block and when I got home no coolant left. Has anyone ever had problems with this pump? All the housing appears to be fine.

    Thanks,
    Chris
