Please dont misunderstand me, I like the current design. But there are alot of small design elements trends that have changed. It is usually these things that keep cars looking current more than an overall shape.

like every car coming with some sort of altezza look now.. or the manufacturers taking the fun out of building a nice car by offering a g'd up one from factory.. (no offense to you 20th and 337'ers :P)

IMO, the reason why our cars don't look all that dated is because they have nice simple, clean lines. Cleans lines don't look dated because they are less bling, bling. IMO again, clean lines = classy and sophistocated; crazy ass lines = trendy (and therefore get out date quickly).

well i know somepeople hate the chrome that the 04s are getting I think it should be an option not standard but IMHO a black jetta with the chrome rubstrips and chrome stock grill ***but with chrome around the windows** (dunno why there isn't any???) anyways it would look fantastic.. but thats just me..

ahhh we just have to deal with it we got the last of the nice ones...MK5 are going to be nice and all but its gonna be hard to compete with the smoothness of the 4

I like the chrome around the windows a lot.

I don't like the chrome anywhere else.

After the Mk5 comes out, if its possible to get the chrome around the window of my Mk4 I would probably do it.

yea a black car like yours kris looks very nice with the chrome window trim but on silver like mine it looks kinda wierd.. same with the chrome/aluminum mirror covers.. they look nice on darker colors but not on lighter..
