    My car is broken..

    So i went to get my car out of the driveway to back it into the garage, then it decided to get stuck in the middle of the road and not move. I could go ahead about 2 feet and it would just stop and not move, same deal in reverse then it would stall. Then i gave it more gas finally got it to move in reverse so it wasnt stuck in the middle of the road. I noticed there was like a big amount of grease or oil around the tranny, now that i forced it to move its worse, and there a piece of metal that broke out of somewhere.

    Either way my differential or tranny or who knows is broken...

They are prone to self machining incidents and outright failures where the differential pinion shaft comes loose and goes through the case."

    Im thinking this is what happened to my car, wheres it cheap to get fixed, any kinda warrantys out there for this kinda thing???

            go used if that is the problem no repairing it.
            i had a 1992 16v that did the same thing,they still haven't solved the problem
            even thou they changed the design.

                  Well finally got it fixed, transmission was blown up in pieces lol.
                  Got a tranny + install from Tunedub. The new tranny with differential, and longer gears is so much better .

                    You got avus's that are painted black? If so then i passed by ur car earlier today. Its looking nice!

                        Did you get a LSD and bigger clutch while you where at it? The parts would ahve been cheap compaired the the labour to do it later.

                          I had a autotech lightened flywheel, and sachs vr6 clutch before this happened.

                          Now i have a peloquin diff, and a new vr6 clutch cause the tranny mangled up my old one when it blew up. Also 3rd, 4th and 5th is longer.

                          George from Tunedub said it was Dom's tranny before so maybe he can clarify what is modified on this tranny exactly.

                            Dom had a TDI Tranny I believe.

                              ya i just found the old for sale thread for that tranny, i guess it has a quaiffe diff haha.
