Dripping mystery fluid?

My car just starting dripping some fluid. It is come out some where on the passanger side of the car. Dripping out near the head light but maybe starts further back? Its kinda watery? Really confused on what it could be. I know that info probably does not help much. What is that big clear plastic container on that same side thats kinda yellowy pastic color behind the washer fluid container. I believe it says g 12 on it. Any guesses on what could be the problem? thanks.

g12 is coolant.. its pink (must get from dealer.. its VW specific). if either the coolant or the washer fluid were to leak, they could possible run forward and leak by the headlights. I know when i top up the washer fluid, thats where the stuff i spill leaks. Is there enough to see the colour? (of course, if you have winter washer fluid, it probably also pink... ). If you were my old mechanic, you'd taste it.. if its sweet, its coolant. I don't endorse this method, but it works. I'd say coolant or washer fluid is leaking, or just overflowed. You should be able to smell washer fluid if there is enough of it... it has that amonia-ish windex smell.

Ahh i put a white peice of paper under and it was blue. I think its just windsheild washer fluid. Haha i feel dumb. I think its dripping from the solinoid looking think on the bottom of the tank with 2 tubes coming off it

Its not coolant, Diffenitly washer fluid.

You probably need a pump, seems to have sold alot lately... approx $30 new.

Hey another question, I was trying to figure out where its dripping and its either dripping off the pump or from one of the small connectors on the bottom. New pump at vw is 67 bucks. Should i just replace this or any one got any other ideas? Thanks

Take the reservoir & pump out and then see where its leaking, you might be able to just repair it

I i took the pump out but not the tank. You able to remove the tank with out removing the bumper? Sorry if thats a dump question.

Also, do you know if the pump lets the fluid flow through it always, or is there a gate or something that closes inside it when its not in use? Because if i take the hose off the pump, it just comes shooting out of the pump and starts draining the tank. Just checking if this is normal. thanks.
