  • Shops in Calgary

Where are all of the shops in Calgary that can supply us with VW parts? So far, I know of Concept 1 and Tunerworks. I just wanna know so that when I go shopping for goodies I can shop around.

    Thanks Guys

Don't go to tunerworks, I would reccomend anyone but them, I had a hell of a bad experience with them before, they don't know vws at all.

I have ordered a couple things online now. One, a new ECU. That turned out badly, they shipped me the wrong part number and UPS did their usual shipping ripoff scam. Two, a new audio deck. It arrived broken. Yay! Three, a forge DV which arrived in good condition but which in retrospect might have been money better spent elsewhere. So I won't be ordering anything else online unless I really, really have no choice. BUY LOCAL PEOPLE.

Anyhow the moral of the story is just to go to Concept 1. Club members get a discount, and if you find a better price elsewhere just TALK to them about it and maybe you can work out an even better deal.

Also look around vwvortex forums, they have alot of stuff there, the classifieds have sick deals if you are patient. You can also order stuff outta the US, between concept 1 and pgperformance, I think you can get really whatvere your looking for.

Since your here in Calgary. CONCEPT1 ALL THE WAY!!!!!
If you don't mind shipping costs PG Performance in Couver or RPI in couver are great too. and like Nick said you can find some rad deals on vortex classies but lately people have been getting ripped off so I dunno I'm a lil weary of em now

ps.. as far as special orders go C1 might charge you more if its a hassle for them so check out pg and rpi first and then maybe phone C1 and price compare.. C1 gives good prices though

You don't like your Forge DV?

I like the Forge DV a lot. But it wasn't cheap. I think its a bit louder, and it might last longer, but it doesn't improve performance any... I think its the same as stock.

I think I should have just saved the money and put it towards an exhaust. Exhaust actually gets you cool sound AND looks better AND much better performance.

you should have known an aftermarket diverter valve doesnt increase performance, in fact it hinders performance. only reason to get one is because the stock one doesnt last long, and its very quiet.

the stock DV is the best designed DV out there for our cars, bar none. it's been proven. it just doesnt last long. :(

Uhh I did know this. I am just saying that money spent on performance is better spent in retrospect.

That being said, I don't think you can measure how little the performance may or may not have decreased.

yah thats true, it "theoretically" hinders performance, however to the amateur tuner like you and I, I can't notice a difference.
