Recently got the APR chip, and my acceleration is really choppy, like something cuts off the throttle for half a second or so. Any idea why it might be doing this?

Re: Choppy Acceleration After Chip.
yea surging.. swap your N75 for i think an H or J version.. upgrade your DV to a 710n or forge/hyperboost..
scan your car for codes to see if any EGT sensors are flaking (i can't remember if the 1.8t has these tho)

Check your rear view mirrors when under full acceleration and see if there is any black smoke (unburnt fuel actually) coming out the exhaust. If there is, its probably the MAF. The hesitation usually goes away if you unplug the MAF as well, although this will cause the CEL to come on, but it goes away after you plug it back in.
Also, if you have a VAG-COM and go through the procedure to clear the codes (even if there aren't any), the problem should go away for a little while until the CPU relearns what your car is doing. (That's assuming its the MAF. Not sure if it would do that with N75 valve problems.)Pat

Re: Choppy Acceleration After Chip.
I really dont think its the MAF, cause last time my MAF went it was completely different and my CEL was on. Im gonna think its the n75 and diverter valve, cause it does both when I give it gas and when I let off the gas.Mitesh
