Short Shift Kits

Anyone know of a place locally where I would be able to pick up a short shift kit for a MK3 VR6? I found one at tmtuning.com but dont feel confident that everything will go smoothly, if I were to purchase it over the net.

I have gone through TM Tuning on more than one occasion and have had no issues with them. Just takes a bit longer for shipping since your item would be coming from Germany.

As for local options Concept 1 has them

Concept 1 has some for the 2.0L and a sport shifter for the VR6 but not the short shift kit, I beleive. Do you order quite a bit over the net?

check out www.qmrmotorsports.com.. if its not on their site they can get it for you. They're operated out of ontario and usually have pretty good prices on things.

Marketing? I don't know. There are two types of shifter mods though. There is replacing the actual shift lever (in the car), and then there is replacing the shift linkage (under the hood).

If you want shorter shifts, I would recommend the dieselgeek ones, they really have all the bases covered that you don't necessarilly get from the other ones.

Edit: my posts are typically mk4 centric but dieselgeek makes a Mk3 product that is probably teh awesome.
