Yes, never been to Poland, but have to the Chech Rep. Prague is beautiful, and very inexpensive so long as you stay off the tourist strip.

I found spain very inexpensive and it was by far my favorite country when I traveled europe.

If you want to travel without paying an arm and a leg, why don't you try central or south america? I am back packing through central america this summer after I volunteer with the less fortunate in Nicaragua.
