JCW Mini Cooper S

Im really liking this car, thinking of selling mine and picking one up. Has anybody here driven the John Cooper Works engine Mini? I have only driven the normal Mini Cooper S, and found it quite slow. Is the JCW one much quicker?

Before I found my 20th AE, I was looking for a used Cooper works. They look sweet and Im pretty sure they are quicker than the regular Cooper S. Do some research on the net, im sure you will find stats that will answer your question.

They haul, we had one running Solo II last few years and it is quite stupid fast.

I thought the john cooper works was an add on, something like $5k installed at the dealer, and added around 30hp? I'm sure a 200hp mini is fun, but a little on the pricy side.

It is an add on, bigger charger and few other things. But on our cars 32hp doesnt seem like much, so curious as to if it would be worth the price of the mini.
