say what you will, but Windows 2000 is still the best desktop OS evar.

    On a somewhat-related note, I just bought me a black MacBook...yay

They don't have any other OS's listed other than those three? There were so many more! IBM had their own for a while in 94, and Compaq aswell had a windows based tab system...

only complaint is the video really, 5400rpm drives are wack but they have 7200s out in 2.5 already

i got the base black one and am gonna put 2gb of ram (which ive purchased) in it and then get one of those perpendicular 7.2k drives when they come out in the right size

Re: GUI's from 1984 to present

ya, ive been waiting and waiting to get a laptop..Once i saw bootcamp in action I knew what I had to do

I gots some ram from memory express (mushkin ddr2 667mhz 5300 1gb sodimms for 119 each) and i dont think memx carries the 7.2k drives but I'll likely hold out on that until the new formats come out

Apple wants 600beans for 2gb of ram and like 240 to upgrade from a 80gb to a 120gb 5400rpm drive so it isnt a tough decision to make, the base price on them is very, very reasonable but the upgrades is where they bend you over (was 1750 shipped for the base black mb)
