What do I need to do?

Just wanted to know if someone could shed some light on what exactly I need to do when buying a car from another province? I am currently in negotiations on a car from BC, and I don't know what I need to do to be able to register it here in Alberta? Or do I even need to worry about anything? Out of province inspection I assume? Any help would be appreciated....

Depending on where you are getting it from you can get a temporary registration (10 days or so) and insurance (BC registration will include this) in the province you purchase it from. If you are buying new or from a dealer then they should have a form which waives the PST with proof of residence in Alberta. Then just drive it to Alberta get an OOP inspection then you can insure and register is as usual.

Just a winter beater for the wife lol.....2000 S4 Black on Black/Silver Alcantara, tip (because she'll divorce me if I force her to drive stick), lots o' kilometers (120)....but I'm getting a sick deal and everything that needed to be replaced just was 2500km ago (timing belt, water pumps, TURBO's, etc., etc.). The guy just faxed me the repair bill for.....$6800 from Richmond Audi

The wife almost did divorce me when I forced her to drive stick lol Now she doesn't regret it though as she knows she can hop in any car and drive it.

Of course I was joking....this would be her daily driver. And don't worry Ryan, if all goes well I'll have 2 S4's in the garage. I am currently looking at an 01.5 Nogaro 6-speed with Alcantara and OEM navi to replace my GLI....and yes, one of the turbo's went at 105k on the black one

On a side note....I found out that the current owner of the BC car does NOT have DRL, what kind of hassle do you think I am going to run into with the out of province inspection?

if he disabled it like i did mine its easy to fix again
