ask your boss what is acceptable dress wear. Calgary has a much more relaxed dress code than most other cities do in terms of what gets worn business wise.

here ties are really only for meetings and important occasions, Nexen actually has a no tie policy apparently, somthing i only learned after my interview with them. My answer to why I was wearing one, I would rather be overdressed and lose a tie, than underdressed and have to go home and change.

Most places you can get away with dark/brown dress pants, dress shoes either brown or black and a button up shirt or polo shirt with the top button undone and no tie.

Engineers wear the goddamn Canadian tuxedo with their jeans and jean jacet or the DOCKERS combo with the dockers shoes, dockers pants dockers shirts. its kinda funny to see actually.

i gotta go buy new clothes before i start work in 2 weeks
