  • Spring (Jetta) cleaning!!

    Eurodrivers:

Worked some O/T this last Sunday morning (it was snowing on the way to work), and after I got back home in the afternoon, the dried on salt on the lower half of my car looked and felt disgusting.. I backed the car onto the driveway, and after using a sponge and a bucket of water, Meguiar's NXT Gen. wax, and vinyl and rubber spray, AND a good vacuuming, the Jetta is looking MUCH better!!! Still have to shampoo my coco mats and and shine up the dash....Anyone else tired of the way winter makes your car look?? Bring on summer!!!!!!!!!

actually, im lovin' the way my car looks on the 15s :P
Im a bit lower than nismo tho which isnt doing me any favors at all (my fender liner came loose on my trip home from canmore this weekend, hear that crap rubbin on invisible bumps!..and i literally cant drive my car after a decent amount of snow falls)

...but I think the 18s are coming out in the first 1/2 of april...i dont have the will-power to wait for rock removal

19's are out in the first week of May or last week of April depending on the rock situation. I can't wait. Also have a bunch of other stuff that should make the car extra pimpo this year.

                  Re: Spring (Jetta) cleaning!!

I know it's going to snow again, and I know that there will be plenty of rocks on the road......but I'm doing the FULL spring detail this Saturday (on which day it will probably rain). I can't handle the black steelies any longer, especially when the roads are bone dry. A couple of minor additions to the car will be applied as well

Also, if anyone knows how to remove a broken euroswitch (yes, I cheaped out and got the 'irregular' one from C1), I could use the insight

i know how.. pliers and several curse words in random succession

i need to do a full detail of my S4 also.. i keep looking at pictures of my jetta and because it was never driven in crappy weather the paint looked sooo good in all my photos so in another week i'm detailing the S4 and installing a much need boost gauge.

So is it mandatory to start referring to your car by it's nameplate as opposed to "my car" once it costs over a certain amount? LOL

this is probably a bad idea since we'll get snow sometime in mayyy... ishh.. but my winter tiers didn't like the dry roads too much. Plus when driving from one end of town to the other (south to north) everyday on deerfoot... so heres the outcome:

                          i could wait anymore

note the remaining snow that is now gonne cuz its PLUS 7 WOOOOOWHOO
