Muahaha! Looks like we might actually have a chance at going somewhere in the playoffs this year as we just picked up Roloson from The Wild. Hes a proven consistant goaltender with a nice save percentage (.910 this year) and I think hes really gonna shine with the Oilers. Look out Flames, we are gunning for you!

I wasn't trying to be a d!ck, just giving you my honest opinion....the Oilers lick. You want my "grown-up" take on the situation? The Oilers have 4 solid forward units, an average-at-best defensive core (I think Pronger was the worst trade they could've made), and terrible goaltending (even with Roloson). I am not just saying this becuase I am a Flames fan either...I will give credit where credit is due, but the Oilers simply are not a good club. They may make the playoffs, and like any team, could give someone a scare (yes, even the Flames), but they are in no way a team built to go deep in the playoffs. In an effort to take two steps forward in aquiring Pronger and Peca, they gave up young talent in the process...not to mention what they are paying the two ageing "stars".

Don't get me wrong, the Flames have flaws too....but they are by no means "fighting" for a playoff spot. Oh, and one more thing....what did you expect the comments to be like from a mostly Calgary-based group

Roloson is a quick little fix, but what do the Oilers expect in picking up a 36 year old back-up from the Wild?

Which to me is kinda backward, I think abs is better than theodore in terms of goaltending...but thats my opinion....I guess whatever it takes to shake people up....
