I have on old 14" or 15" monitor and a mostly busted HP printer that I need to get rid of. I know there are places that recycle them, but where are they? Cash converters wouldn't take the monitor, even for free!
Thanks
Jeff

no where takes it for free anymore...anywhere you drop it off is going to ahve the pay the recycling fee for you. I think your best bet is a) throwing it in a dumpster at some construction site (haha) or b) take it to the dump
edit: buddy at work just told me he called the dump and asked if he could put electronics out with his trash and they were cool with that

EXCUSE ME?!
Okay, there are lots of locations all over Alberta that take them for free. E-trash or whatever they're called at the old barrack's is one place. I just took a couple printers, motherboards, etc. over there. They take it for free. Please DON'T just throw them in the trash!!!
AFAIK, we dont have any proper recycling facility in calgary so all that **** ends up in the dump anyways (or at least thats what buddy at the dump told a guy im working with)

I usually wait for E-cycle, but I've taken lots of stuff to E-waste as well. They have a location at the Curry Barracks. Also, check on the government web site for other locations, there are ~100 places all over Alberta.
