I am just looking for something in the ~$1000 range... I already have my expensive guitar, I just want something a little different. ^^How true....they sound sweet! But I still haven't heard anything that compares to my Washburn Chicago Series. I was skeptical when I bought it because I didn't know much about Washburn electrics (I have one of their acoustics, and it rocks), but after playing a couple different brands I couldn't resistOriginally posted by BillipGretsch rules! I love the sound.
The point of this story....try out a Washburn, you might be surprised
If you like the Hollowbody look and sound of the Epiphone...
And a semi-hollow...
Both are around $1000

Mothers' is a great music shop (that's where I got all 4 of my guitars), but they had to order both of my Washburns.....so they might not have any
. Try taking a look at Long & McQuade on 58th off Blackfoot if you get a chance, they have a pretty good selection

I was there yesterday... they had some cool stuff, but I want to check out mothers before I make my choice.
