As some of you know I was at the Flames vs Leafs game on Friday night and the leafs lost 1-0. It was a very close, clean and awesome game with no fights. The shots were close too. I was sitting in section 120 row 10 seat 4. Killer seats.
After the game ended My buddy and I stayed for a few drinks at the lower level bar and there were a few Flames fans that were yelling "you suck" and pointing at any or all Leaf fans that walked by them. Also there was a young guy that was drunk out of his mind looking for any leaf fan that he could pick a fight with. It seemed like 60% of the Flames fans there were just ignorant and Belligerent. It also seemed that this 60% were just jumped on the bandwagon and don't really know what being a "true fan" is. I have been a Leafs fan since the late 70's and have been to more games than I can remember. If these are the new generation of Flames fans then I feel sorry for the old ones. Don't get me wrong, I like Flames fans but not ones like these. If you know any fans who are ignorant tell them Hey, it's only a game and you don't have to abuse or belittle someone just because they wear a different jersey than yours.
On a lighter note a mid twenty'ish Flames fan flashed us her "dirty pillows" just before we were going to leave. I was going to stay and chat it up but I didn't think my wife would have approved..
