Unfortunately, I was also one of the misguided individuals that had to sit the 3 hours + through this movie. Without spoiling the movie for anyone... which is practically impossible since everybody knows what happens to poor little Kong... my review is as follows:

Visually: Yes, o.k., the movie is really visually entertaining. Like really... even I could make a movie of this quality if the studios gave me a budget of $300+ million. Does Peter Jackson deserve an award for that?... i think not.

Storyline: For me... the movie gets so carried away on some of the action sequences (gee, i wonder why... (see above))... that the storyline seems incredibly choppy. I found myself sitting in the theatre thinking from time to time of what happened to the story... is there a story? Then again... when you take something that used to thrill audiences like 70 years ago... you don't have much to work with. Kind of like when you watch what you thought was a scary movie now... that you watched 15 years ago when you were a kid... and you're like... "This is so lame."

Overall: I have to give this flick a 3.5/10.0. The movie gets a 3.5 for the $350 million I'm sure this piece of overrated cinematic garbage got in funding to create this big piece of "...meh... whatever". I mean... to go with the overall thread here... I would have far rather watched a few NVD'ers play Rampage for 3 hours then sit through this thing.

In summary, any movie that doesn't even beat the Original Pokemon Movie on its opening night... doesn't deserve a place anywhere on my Movie Recommendation list.

      Deuce out.

Okay so we need someone with a SNES To host Rampage night, since its not on xbox 360 (yet). It will be fun for about 5 mins until we get tired of eating the people who hang out the windows.

The ape was always my favourite.

I'm with Ryan on this one, I thought it was a great movie.

Exciting, looked good, and the three hours just flew by. 4.5/5 and a big thumbs up!

Ouch welcome to the holidays folks... I agree with Ryan though some times a movie that you can just relax and watch is great in on itself. That is why I loved Serenity so much.
