I've got an Epson Photo R200 inkjet printer. I'm trying to print out a bunch of wedding photos and stuff, and the printouts look like crap!!! I used to have a crappy little HP 932c, and the pics were way better. I'm just printing using the windows photo printer, so I can easily print 9 wallet size shots per page. Here's the issue, on a full page of prints, I've got all different printout quality's. It's like some are printing at full res, and some are being dummied down. Is there a setting I can change to force it to take its time and print right? I don't think the issue is with the printer, I think for some reason my computer is sending bad info. The best way I can describe it is that on some pics it looks like there are the full 16 million colors (or whatever) and some look like they only have 4 million, or 256 or whatever. Don't know what to do, help?!? Full system: P4 3.2, 1 gig ram, Canon sd500 camera, epson photo r200 printer, premium photo paper. Thoughts?? Here is an "example" of how it looks on the printout...

Re: Inkjet printing help needed
ya gots inkjet, and ya gots laser... photo is just high res inkjet. in my experience, colour matching is still better with inkjet as opposed to laser.Last edited by stefan; 12-15-2005, 12:10 AM.Stefan

Re: Inkjet printing help needed
yea any day of the week for sure.. but honestly printing photos on an inkjet is sort of a waste of money especially if you buy the photo cartridge cuz you'll burn through ink like crazy.. if i want my digitals made i just take them to walmart or whatever..

Re: Inkjet printing help needed
done. wally-mart it is. f#ck this. however - I should be able to print them just fine. I'm printing from the windows photo viewer - has always worked fine before. even if i print from illustrator, photoshop, jasc, the printouts are always the same...

R200 is a great printer, shouldn't have that problem, I can't think of why thats happening other than somewhere in the communication something goes bad...2006 Colorado Xtreme | AEM CAI | Walker exhaust | smoked glass | -1" dropped rear | Avic D3 | 8000K HID's

Re: Inkjet printing help needed
yeah, i'm not sure either...it's like not enough memory is being provided to spool it or something...this sounds really bad, but looking at the printout really closely, I'm thinking maybe I got a bad batch of paper...I put here it under the microscope and I can see spots where the ink has "pooled together". I'm gonna go get new paper this afternoon and try again...go figure.
