      Re: Big up to Northland

Just had a minor problem with the 'bit on my way to work this morning. Ive been driving the rabbit for a couple weeks now, but yeah the Jetta is good. I am likely going to pick up some winters in Jan or Feb and start driving it year round. I plan on purchasing a new 4-dr GTI next year so the Jetta will become the winter beater and I will sell the rabbit.

cool.. i'm now too am torn between getting the B5 A4 in the spring or getting a mk5 GTI and keeping the jetta for the winter car... swapping stereo equipment and selling pzwo and R32 parts is easy

I'm not questioning your decision or anything that would be sweet, but I think I'd be tempted to keep the jetta as "summer only" since i'm sure there will be WAY more GTI's made than the 24V GLI's.

You make a valid point... more than likely both cars will be insured and driven year round. My wife will have the Jetta, and Myself the GTI. She works downtown so it probably wont see much winter use (gotta keep those km's low )

Nice No doubt that will be a a rare car someday.

I love the 24V, I took one out one time, so fun.

LOL no, my alternator belt snapped on my way to work, and I didn't have any tools with me... ironically enough I had a new belt in the back seat, I was going to install it when I got home from work.
