      One should cheer that as they are getting an incredible value in terms of hardware for their money.

        not to mention they make all the money back via software licenses..coding,etc it all works out in the wash.

          I was in EB games the other day and a guy was asking about trading in his Xbox (original) and they offered him $60......

            Personally, I'm holding out for the PS3. Since I've had the Playstation and the PS2 after that, I guess you could say I'm a SONY man. I'm sure both systems will kick arse however, since I'm not a huge fan of Halo... or, err... whatever other games they have on XBOX???... I think I'll be content to stick with the PS3. I gues... if you want my $0.02 worth... Sony, is still the King when it comes to the console war.

                I forgot that your XBOX also came with a licensed copy of Excel as well. Maybe, if we're all lucky... the next version of the XBox will let you download new PowerPoint backgrounds and new fonts for your Microsoft Word! Oh goody... I can hardly wait!!

                  I'm not a fan of either system. I've never owned a game system, and it is highly doubtful that I ever will.

                  I just don't see what the issue is if MS loses money on a console.

                  Remember also that the xbox is only 'Microsoft gaming attempt #2'. History shows that once MS gets to attempt #3 that the ass really starts to get kicked. If there is anything that MS is good at it is killing everyone else.
