Bah I liked it, but it felt rushed. Very much like RotK - I hope they have an extended version.

It had to be rushed! No way they could add everything and make it fit into a movie...very very much similar to LOTR. Almost assumes that you've read the book so you can fill in the holes yourself!

Good flick though. I enjoyed it!

Harry potter may be good and all (not a crazed lunatic myself), but I would NEVER compare LOTR to Harry Potter not even in the same category.

how long is it?? i was gonna see it last weekend but saw that johnny cash movie cuz harry potter had crazy lineups..

when potter first came out i thought they were stupid and kiddy but they are a ton better nowadays plus that little harmoine chick is coming up

You definately made the right choice by going to see 'Walk The Line' instead Ryan.....that's a good movie. Harry Potter was okay at best, still too childish IMO.

Harry potter may be good and all (not a crazed lunatic myself), but I would NEVER compare LOTR to Harry Potter not even in the same category.

As a book adaptation, they have the same issues. I was fuming after the theatrical RotK, but the extended edition made it all better.

I don't expect word for word conversion, but the key elements need to be there with decent pacing.

Watership Down - fantastic book, horrible movie. All because of terrible editing.

Harry Potter GoF - good movie but the book is way better.
