left half hour early to drop my car at the tire store... got to work half hour late... and the car didnt make it to the tire store. Light pole downed on crowchild, and a 3 car about 500m past it.

well I stayed home today so I can put the snow tires on (I can get email and voicemail at home so no big deal).

I'll probably put them on around lunch when it warms up a little bit.

Hmm, I found traffic to be unusually light this morning. I live in Mt. Pleasant, and go to the university. Normally it's a 20 minute drive at 7:30AM, this morning it took more like 10, I never waited for more than 2 lights (Getting through on the second light that is) where I would normally wait for 5 or 6 before I could get through. It was pretty sweet. I don't run winter tires, so no tire swapping for me

That said, I tried out the ESP on my new golf today, what a strange little creature that thing is... I forced it into a slide (no, this was not on public roads) and it got pretty crazy. Don't know if I'm too used to FR cars, or if the ESP is a little sketchy. As soon as it got sideways, I steered straight, and with the braking it does for you, it just kept over-correcting. I might turn it off for the winter...

leave ESP on and drive around one night and just agro around corners with no traffic around and just let it do its work and drive normally.. you'll see its freaking magic! i love ESP on my car..

It just depends on how you react, if you react like someone who has never beein in a car moving sideways before, I am sure it works great. If you react like someone who is trying to pull through a corner at the track, it will screw you up.

That sucks, i am only 2.5 hours away and i rode my sportbike to work today... a little cool in the morning but no snow at all and lots of sun in the afternoon. Wooo hooooo!

I leave for work at 6:15am usually. There was hardly anyone around. I used the e-brake for every turn on the way! Man I love to drive in this crap!
