Tech Help - Display problems on my comp.

I installed an Nvidia graphics card a while back and my computer now runs as a dual monitor setup. The only thing is, i don't have dual monitors - just the one. The graphics card is supposed to run everything on my 'secondary' monitor but in some instances things are opened off screen on the 'primary' monitor (the monitor that isn't even there).

For instance, I'll be working in Word and go to save something and the save dialog box will open in the 'primary' monitor, off screen. This leaves me pretty screwed.

I have tried adjusting all of the settings so that everything is running on the secondary monitor, but for whatever reason things are still popping up on the primary one off screen.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

in your display properties main tab uncheck 'extend my windows desktop to this monitor' and it should fix it.. dunno why it thinks you have 2 monitors if only 1 phsyical is hooked up it should detect that shiz.

hmmm, I don't have the option to do so in my main display properties....

Any other suggestions?

try installing new drivers and see if you get the option?

did you ever have 2 monitors? it really shouldnt let you have that option on if it cant detect a second monitor.

Ok, I'm retarded - just found the checkbox Ryan referred to. unchecked it and all is well.
