I have to core a 4" hole in a foundation for a dryer vent. It's quite expensive to rent the tools, and even more to have someone to do it for you? Anyone have access to the required devices and would care to loan them out. It's a stretch, but I thought I'd ask.

i've done numerous holes in my basement, fireplace, dryer and vacu flo.
go to rogers rental and rent a bosch chipping hammer and a round bit
and a chiesel bit.start in the center and work your way around the hole.
your covers and flashing will cover the exterior chips.
cost me 19.00 for the rental and 10.00 for the bits.worked awesome.
cheers

Re: Coring Cement
Sounds about the right way to do it GTX. I rented out heavy equipement for years and there is not much a hammer drill isn't good for. You might get a little bit of a cleaner hole by borring a bunch of small pilot holes with some of the drill bits you can get. Ask the guys at the tools places most are quite knowledgable.Name: Brent
