  • TV show Torrents question!

I would like to download a few episodes of TV shows through torrent, I'm good with all other aspects of it, but need to know 2 things:

    1. how can I burn the show so I can watch it on my TV through the DVD player, most episodes are in Xvid or Divx AVI?
    2. how can I burn full DVD/Xvid rips of full season DVD's so my DVD player will read it??

I agree use your xbox. I use mine to watch all my shows and it is exactly like watching normal tv with no lose what so ever. An added bonus is you don't have to watch crappy commercials

              Re: TV show Torrents question!

I just use NeroVision express or whatever it is called exactly to transcode the files to VOB's and write them to DVD.

Keep in mind that Best Buy has a DVD player that will play DivX files on sale now for $49.99. I was going to go pick one up to see if it sucks or not. Some friends have the Phillips model and think it is awesome.

                $49.99?!? whoah!
I know they have the Phillips one for $89 (which works great) but I didn't know there was one for $50! (at that price, I'll go get one!)

...hmm...just surfed the bestbuy website -- is this an unadvertised deal?

The Phillips 642 will play DiVX/XVid but it will not play some that are encoded with QPEL. The BB one that was $50 is the Kosch, but there is also a LG that is supposedly better than all of them. I had the Phillips, & it was okay but I returned it with the idea of buying a Dlink networked player.
