    Re: Ahh, dangerous new hobby.....

I exceed the 300fps mark, but I thought that a firearm is classified over 500fps.....not too sure....and no, vulcan, they don't have the same recoil as a firearm (I'm an avid handgun user), but this is an excellent "close" representation, with the full slide and considering it works with propane.....

Thought 500fps and over was considered a firearm aswell. Still, I wouldnt want to be shot with a 300fps bb, maybe not so bad if it was plastic or something of the like. Outdoor paintball fields usually have a 280-300fps limit for players, I think?

Anyhow, these do sound like good fun.

Yeah, 300 fps freakin hurts plenty. Moreso if you get laid down with automatic fire.

The higher end airsofts can be hopped up to nearly 1000 fps, which goes far beyond bloody painful.

This baby is the mother of them all:

God do those turn me on.

I went thru all this crap when I brought the two guns I have back from Japan. I have a Glock single shot and a mini-uzi electric automatic.

They are way fun to hurt your friends with.
any thing over 611 fps requires an f.a.c.

We could also set up a night where we all head down to the shooters edge, pop some caps, then grab a bite.

I'm down with that! My bro-in law went there with a few of his pals and they all got something different and swapped after a while. They all got to try different weapons! I think it's a cool idea.

As much as I really don't like guns I think shooting ranges are a great idea so I might actually be down for that.
